{"id":7,"date":"2011-01-11T17:10:37","date_gmt":"2011-01-12T01:10:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mike.bensonk.net\/?p=7"},"modified":"2011-01-11T18:30:23","modified_gmt":"2011-01-12T02:30:23","slug":"getting-ready","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mike.bensonk.net\/?p=7","title":{"rendered":"Getting Ready"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings to all,<\/p>\n<p>Just a note pre-surgery. \u00a0I&#8217;m sitting at the computer on the side of\u00a0the Elwha valley looking at the snow gently falling and Lake Aldwell\u00a0enjoying its last winter in its current condition.<\/p>\n<p>I went to The U.W. clinic on Thursday the 6th for pre-op work ups\u00a0(blood work, chest x-ray, and anaesthesia interviews) and then went in\u00a0on Friday for the coronary angiogram. \u00a0The report from all was good so\u00a0the surgery schedule is still on track. \u00a0I will be going to Seattle on\u00a0Thursday afternoon with\u00a0Carole, Benson, and Ashleigh in preparation\u00a0for surgery on Friday sometime, hopefully early A.M.<\/p>\n<p>I have received lots of support from friends and family and am\u00a0confident that everything will work out for the best in the end. \u00a0I\u00a0have been told that I could be sailing again in six weeks by the\u00a0Surgeon but the Nurse Practitioner made that sound a little\u00a0optimistic. \u00a0She said that I won&#8217;t be able to mountain bike for 12\u00a0weeks. \u00a0One of my good friends said that&#8217;s just in time to go to Moab!!!! \u00a0Time will tell but I will be back on the bike this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Mike<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greetings to all, Just a note pre-surgery. \u00a0I&#8217;m sitting at the computer on the side of\u00a0the Elwha valley looking at the snow gently falling and Lake Aldwell\u00a0enjoying its last winter in its current condition.
